An answer to out-of-warranty repair! See below for labor rates not including parts. My fees are based on flat rates – not unpredictable hourly rate – so you know up front what the labor will cost. All pricing is based on work being performed at my facility. I do provide in-home service at a slightly higher cost. Call for specific pricing. These services are available locally.

• Diagnostic Charge

  Includes a system evaluation and a diagnostic of any problem.

  Price: $50

Section A (hardware)

• Peripheral Installation

  Covers the charge related to the installation of any peripheral. Included in the installation is basic testing and the loading of any drivers required for testing.

q       Cards (ISA, PCI, AGP) include sound cards, NIC, modem, etc. – Price: $35

q       Mass Storage

o       CD-ROM, Tape Drives, Floppy Drive, etc – Price: $35

o       Hard drive – Price: $55

§         Repartitioning and Formatting is included in price.

§         Data Transfer

For use during a mass storage installation when the transfer of data is required from one storage device to a new storage device. For example, data on a 20 GB hard drive is transferred to a new 160 GB hard drive during an upgrade.

• Memory / Processor Upgrade Installation

  Memory and processor upgrade services.

  Price: $35

• Repartition and Format Hard Drive

  Hard disk is partitioned destroying all data and then formatted to allow new operating system to be installed.

  Price: $25

Section B (software)

• Application installation.

  Installation of a CDROM based application software. Installation is completed at the default level and does not include customization.

  Price: $35

• Windows 95/98/ME Installation

  Default installation of Windows on a newly formatted hard drive or perform a default upgrade on an existing compatible Windows system. Does not include special configuration or diagnostic of compatibility issues that may arise.

  Price: $85 (includes all critical updates and service packs)

• Windows 2000/ XP Installation

  Default installation of Windows on a newly formatted hard drive or perform a default upgrade on an existing compatible Windows system. Does not include special configuration or diagnostic of compatibility issues that may arise.
  Price: $100 (includes all critical updates and service packs)

Section C (training)

• Windows 95/98/ME/XP

  Course length is 6-8 hrs. Time can be divided into 2 or 3 sessions. Training is one-on-one at your home.

  Price: $225 (includes workbook)

Section D (web design)

• Up to 4 pages w/internal links (Home page and 3 supporting pages)

• Up to 3 graphics / page

• Up to 3 external links / page

• Additional graphics: $15 each

• Additional external links: $10 each

• Additional pages: $50 each

• Text for website will be provided by client.

• 30 days of free web maintenance provided.

Website maintenance

Billed at the current rate of $60/hr. in ½ hour increments.

 

Price: $275

 

Section E (Consulting)

Consulting fees at the rate of  $60 / hr.
